About Kova
Kova is a Canadian personal finance app, built in Toronto, that shows which registered account, credit card and debt order would leave you more money each year. It’s open to Ontario residents for now and is paid for only by subscriptions.
What Kova is
Kova connects to your bank, credit card and investment accounts, read-only, through Plaid. It tracks your spending and your investment accounts in one place. Then it runs two checks on your real numbers: which credit card fits how you spend, and which order to fill your FHSA, RRSP and TFSA.
Every result is shown in estimated dollars a year, next to the numbers it was based on. Kova provides general financial information and account and credit card recommendations; it does not provide investment, tax-filing or legal advice.

[Founder note: one or two sentences on who builds Kova and why]
Available in Ontario only, for now
Kova’s tax estimates use the 2026 federal and Ontario tax brackets, so you need to live in Ontario and be 18 or older to sign up.
Live in another province? Leave your email on the sign-up page and you’ll hear once, when Kova opens there.
Paid only by subscriptions
Kova is paid only by your subscription. No bank or card issuer pays us for recommendations. Kova costs $7 a month or $67 a year, with no ads, and earns nothing when you open a card or an account.
